RIB transilien
RIB transilien
Rame Inox Banlieue translien livrery (conversion of my own mod from TPF1)
This mod is available in the workshop on steam.
The RIB / RIO are a SNCF’s series of reversible train set which enter from the 60s until the beginning of the 80s. They come from the cars of the first prototypes of the Z6100. RIBs have been used on suburban trains all around Paris. Rios is almost identical, but intended for regional trains throughout France. Their simplicity has given them good reliability and robustness, which has made them essential for years for the SNCF. They have most of the time run with BB Alsthom (BB16500, BB 8500, BB 17000, BB 25500) but have also seen with BB 67400 and BB 67300 and BB 66000.
There are several sub-series of different generations in this family, but their evolutions have remained minor. In the same way, they have worn several liveries in their career. Here is the livery Transilien RIB after their modernization from 2002 to 2007.
Three cars make up the segments of RIB/RIO:
the ZRAB car that is always on the locomotive’s side
the ZRBx car that is at the other end and has the reversibility cab
the ZRBz car that goes between the first two.
By adjusting the number of ZRBz cars on the RIB / RIO, the SNCF realized indeformable segment of 3 and 4 cars. The suburbs St Lazare even received segments of 7 cars for its shorter platforms. Beyond 7 cars, it was necessary to pair several segments of 3 or 4 cars. Compositions of two segments of four cars were very common in Ile de France.
For the game, I balanced the passenger capacity so that a 4-cars train set has a capacity of 120 passengers. You can find a complete RIB set (4 or 7 cars) in the multiple unit menu. You can also make your own set with the separate cars in the passenger car menu.
The characteristics are as follows:
speed: 120 km / h
years of availability of this livery: 2002/2018
reversibility
functioning red and white light
All textures are in DDS, automatic prices, aging, and the mod have its own sound.
