SAGAMI RAILWAY 7000series
SAGAMI RAILWAY 7000series
The Sotetsu 7000 series trains were manufactured from 1975 to 1985.
In the 1960s, the Moha 6021 was manufactured as an aluminum prototype car, and it succeeded in reducing its weight by about 4.5 tons compared to the conventional car body.
The aging 2000- and 5000-series car bodies were replaced with aluminum car bodies, and the car body length was successfully reduced to 20 m without any loss of performance.
In response to these developments, this new model was manufactured as the aluminum body of the new Series 6000.
Therefore, the bogies and equipment do not differ much from those of the new 6000 Series.
In appearance, there is not much difference between the new Series 2000 and Series 5000, with the only difference being the position of the front lights, which are positioned toward the outside.
At first glance, they appear to be the same train.
