Class 9P a shunting steam tank locomotive 0-6-0, had been widely used in Soviet Union.
Some locomotives of this type were rebuilt for use with tenders.
Class BP is a fairless shunting steam tank locomotive, based on 9P class. Such locomotives have no furnace: they get the steam at stations, and then their boiler works as an accumulator. Such locomotives were made for work at some dangerously explosive places.
