Amtrak ex-Metroliner Cabcars
Amtrak ex-Metroliner Cabcars
Amtrak’s 29 cab cars were rebuilt in the late 1980s from the Metroliners that were suffering from unreliable propulsion systems. The cars are very similar in build to the Amfleets, with a notable difference being the outside bearing trucks.
In their early days, some cars saw duty on the west coast on the San Diegan. These are commonly seen on the Keystone Corridor still.
This mod is a vaguely accurate representation, using the vanilla Metroliner model and added mesh details. It is lacking some handrails, however.
Three cars are included:
9640 (Phase III) – 1988
9644 (Phase IV) – 1993
9641 (Phase VI) – 2003
Soundset includes bells accurate to road number and a K5LA.
Assets included.
