BR Class 44-46 Peaks – PlaneSimple’s with Pdguru Reskins Mod
With kind permission of PlainSimple, I offer here three versions of his Peak loco. These are Reskins – no changes to model or stats.
Class 44: D8 “Penyghent” Green livery
Class 45: 45118 “Apollo” Blue livery
Class 46: 97403 “Ixion” in Derby Test Center Red and Blue livery
Each of the three appear as separate locos to purchase in the Diesel menu.
These 3 classes were all externally identical but were fitted with different engines and transmissions. They were known as ‘Peaks’ because the original class 44s were all named after various mountains. Other names for these locomotives include ‘Sulzers’ and ‘Derbies’. They were among the first diesel trains on British Railways.
