Budd M2/M4 – Metro-North Railroad
This mod introduces the M2/M4 series to Transport Fever 2. Shortly after consolidating the commuter railways surrounding New York City, the MTA began updating its ageing, prewar fleet. While the M1 “Metropolitan” EMU operated exclusively on the area’s third-rail lines—the vast majority of the network—the dual-function M2 “Cosmopolitan” would serve the sole route powered by overhead catenary: the New Haven Line. It entered service in 1973 and was retired in 2018.

The mod includes both overhead and third-rail variants. For now, the M2 and M4 operate as married pairs; the designations serve to differentiate the two paint schemes.
