Class 43 Intercity Swallow HST Mod
Class 43 Intercity Swallow HST Mod
******************************* ORIGINAL MOD BY MFURSEMAN*******************************
MOD HISTORY
– Originally created by mfurseman for Train Fever in 2015, and released on Transportfever.net.
– ** mfurseman provided approval to that forum for modding it on June 13th that year. **
– Steam user Soharic requested permission to port to TF1 on 14 November 2016, which he did, helped by Killakanz.
– mfurseman has not been active at Transportfever.net since 2015.
– This is a reskin (and necessary conversion) of the original, so we can all enjoy it in TF2.
MOD INFORMATION
Model and performance stats remain unchanged. As with the original model, it is a little small in scale so parts are not ideal to use with other models, and as a Train Fever item it has no interiors. The 125 was originally classified as a DMU and appears as such as a train here.
******** The workshop ID of this mod is 2050969328. Like all mods, I recommend you copy it in case the mod is later removed. Depending on your specific setup, workshop mods for your games can be found in
C: Program Files (x86) / Steam / steamapps / workshop / content / “game ID number”.*********
STATEMENT
This conversion is provided free of charge, just as the original one was in 2015 by mfurseman, and the last conversion done by Soharic (assisted by Killakantz). I have meantime requested Soharic’s agreement to this version (via his website) as a courtesy, not because he created the model.
Like every other mod I have issued, I ask for NO payment via paypal, Patreon or anything else. There is no money to be made here, and I claim no credit or ownership of the model in any way. I do this as a service to the game and the community. Modders: If you’re making a new mod for the HST then GREAT! We are all looking forward to having it to replace this one, in due course.
TRAIN HISTORY
In the 1970s, BR decided to upgrade its main-line express diesel locomotives, and based on lessons from the high-speed Class 55 Deltics, they developed the HST which could travel at up to 125 mph (201 km/h), using two power cars each with a 12-cylinder Paxman Valenta, running at 1,500 rpm and developing 2,250 bhp (1,680 kW). The HST is replaced by the Hitachi Super Express.
