Early U.S. Skeleton Log Car
Amazing screenshots by the one and only Lskeetskeet!
Another… eh, why not, let’s do it!
I bring to you today a simple skeleton logging car! I don’t really have much information for this, it again was let’s get it done.
What’s in the crate?
– 2 Logging cars, a 32-footers, and a 38-footer.
– All CUSTOM and RANDOM loads! Huzzah! There are 7 Custom loads! Only 6 are random as I thought it would look odd to have a giant log mixed with the rest, that it would look off/weird.
– 1 32 & 38-foot cars have random loads.
– 1 32 and 38-foot cars have a single huge log on them… Think of this as a giant sequoia tree being hauled around.
– ASSETS! There are 16 assets! Each custom load has a corresponding asset along with empties.
– Coupler by model citizen
– RECOLORABLE!
Stats
32 Foot random loads
– Date of Appearance-1865
– Speed – 40 MPH
– Weight – 5.5 tons
– Capacity – 9 (random load) Logs
32 Foot Huge Log car
– date of Appearance-1865
– Speed – 40 MPH
– Weight – 7.2 tons
– Capacity – 10 Logs
38 Foot random Loads
– Date of Appearance – 1880
– Speed – 50 MPH
– Weight – 11 Tons
– Capacity – 12 Logs
38 Foot Huge Log
– Date of Appearance – 1880
– Speed – 50 MPH
– Weight – 15 tons
– Capacity – 13 Logs
So for the large log cars, I was thinking of the extra carrying capacity to just notch up the weight a little bit.
What’s next?
Well, this was an outa nowhere-quick project, but upcoming will be the Union Pacific 119 and variations, along with St. Paul and Pacific style coach train set. Enjoy your heavy logging trains! See you on the next one!
