Era B Railway Station Refurbishments
Era B Railway Station Refurbishments
Following on from my well-received Era A station refurbishment mod, here are five variants for the Era B Art Deco station.
Presently, these are the colour schemes for the station’s main and side buildings:
1. White stone render/gray roof
2. White stone render/green copper roof
3. Pueblo brick (desert maps)
4. Orange brick/green copper roof
5. Red brick/green copper roof
In addition to the building, there is custom detail on:
– Platforms
– Platforms with an underpass
– Platform canopy
– Platform cast iron column supports
– Cleaner and simpler station name signs and platform number signs
– Simpler window arrangements, less busy
– Refinished clock face – now with numerals!
– Some stations with different floor tiles in the main buildings rather than just the same as the platforms
– All new platform surfaces without cracks overlay
– Remodeled Art Deco triple-window, skyscraper-style doors with new brass finger plates
– Enhanced facade decorative elements – the downside of this is a whole load of very ornate roof vents!
The models and other materials are all the intellectual property of Urban Games; I am responsible for a small amount of scripting and the textures.
UPDATES v1.3
1. Thanks to MadHatter’s scripting, these stations will now take any track.
2. Empty platforms without assets.
3. Updated UI icons.
UPDATES v1.4
Following suggestions and encouragement from Green Ranger (Gr1m), the Era B stations have received an upgrade and some minor modifications.
These include:
1. Gardens on station frontages similar to, but not as elaborate as, Grander Stations. The beds are bordered with low brick walls in the same style as the station construction.
2. Removal and repositioning of some lamps.
3. Reinstatement of some small wall-mounted lights that had been commented out.
4. Symmetrical station signs, also scaled down by 50% for exterior and platforms, some recoloured.
5. Additional benches on other frontages.
6. Removal of trashcans from station forecourts.
7. Tweaked and scaled Lombardy poplars to look like Italian cypresses.
8. Passenger capacities on all main and side buildings as per UG levels.
