Series 107 trains were built by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) from 1988 to 1991 by converting parts of old express trains, Series 165, that had been scrapped. They were used for local transportation in the suburban area of Tokyo. After being retired in 2017, some of them were transferred to neighboring private railway companies and are still in service.

Series 107 “Takasaki District” Color (looks like Lettuce Sand) 2-car train – Peach color part can be changed
Series 107 “Old Nikko Line” Color 2-car train – Red color part can be changed
Series 107 “New Nikko Line” Color 2-car train – Brown and gold color parts can be changed to one color
Series 107 Jyoshin Electric Railway specification 2-car train – Green color part can be changed
– and all cars are equipped with a gimmick for combined operation.
