Series E531: Suburban-type train
The E531 Series was introduced to the rail line between Tokyo City and Fukushima Prefecture in 2005. Due to competition with other rail lines and highway buses, the maximum speed is a high 130 km/h. In addition, two double-decker high-grade cars are connected in the middle.
Eventually, it replaced all old trains in the Ibaraki and Fukushima areas. And in 2020, they were also increased due to the restoration of sections that were out of service, due to the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami in 2011.
