The second generation of Liftback was introduced in 2004 at the Geneva Motor Show. Compared to the first generation, the car is trying to compete with the middle-class cars differs in engine, more modern technology, and a slightly more robust bodywork.
The design of the new generation, especially the front part, is based on the first style of the first. This style inherently includes a massive front grille of the radiator, but it gained a trapezoidal shape. The bumper is more merging with the body. Flagers were integrated into the outer rear-view mirrors. The front and rear side glass of the car is divided by wide B-pillars. Rear headlights exceed the edges of the stern and reach into the hips. The length of the car is 4572 mm, width 1769 mm, and height 1462 mm, the wheelbase increased to 2578 mm. The luggage compartment has a volume of 560 liters, with the rear seats folded up even 1350 l.
Octavia was introduced in three levels of equipment – Classic, Ambiente, and Elegance. From the beginning, there were three basic and nine metallic colors, three color interior concepts, and twelve versions of upholstery according to the level of equipment. Standard equipment includes four airbags, electromechanical power steering, or ABS. Among the wishes, there are also parking and rain sensors, ESP, or dual-zone air conditioning.
Among the engines appeared petrol engines 1.4 MPI/55 kW and 1.6 MPI/75 kW, then 1.6 FSI/85 kW and 2.0 FSI/110 kW with direct fuel injection. In addition to petrol engines, two 1.9 TDI-PD/77 kW and 2.0 TDI-PD/103 kW diesel engine has also added an offer. [13]
