The Swedish State Railways Class Rc is the most used electric locomotive in Sweden. Rc is a universal locomotive used both in freight and passenger trains. 366 Rc locomotives were built for The Swedish State Railways (SJ) between 1967 and 1988.
When SJ was disbanded in 2001, the locomotives were split between the government-owned companies SJ AB, Green Cargo, and SSRT. Many have since been sold to private operators.
