Tokyu Series 7000/7700
The Tokyu 7000 series is a full stainless steel commuter train that was introduced in 1962 by the Tokyu Railway. It has an 18-meter body with three doors and was widely used on various lines, such as the Hibiya Line through-train, the Den-en-toshi Line, the Mizonokuchi Line, and the Ikegami Line.
After 1991, it was upgraded to VVVF inverter control and was renamed the 7700 series, which continued to be active until 2021. Even now, its used trains are still active in various small and medium-sized railway companies.
