World Monuments Collection N.4: Palace of Westminster (London)
Hello friends.
The Palace of Westminster, also known in English as The Houses of Parliament, houses the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom (the House of Lords and the House of Commons). The palace, one of the four Heritage sites of Humanity of the City of London, declared by UNESCO in 1987, is located on the north bank of the River Thames, in the City of Westminster, near several government buildings in Whitehall.
The palace served as a royal residence, but no monarch has lived there since the 16th century. Most of the current structure dates from the 19th century, when the palace was rebuilt after a fire in 1834, which destroyed Most of it. The architects responsible for rebuilding the castle were Sir Charles Barry and Augustus Pugin. The building is an example of the Neo-Gothic style. One of the most notable features of the palace is the clock tower, another tourist attraction that houses the bell called Big Ben, the name wrongly assigned to the tower clock. The Monument is scalable and if the doors are connected to a path it has the ability to attract people in the amount of 200 people, it also has various sounds of the chimes. I hope that You like it. Greetings.
