Brief history of Steam Locomotives, class C54
Exchanging the excellent locomotive; C51 was very difficult.
Because of the need for a light and powerful locomotive, class C54 was developed in 1931, the basic spec was the same and the weight was decreased.
However, too decreasing weight caused slipping and wrong operate, C54 was thinked failure.
Soon the next class, class C54, was developed, so they existed only 17 cars.
No preserved cars remain.
