Queensland Rail English Electric 1620 Class

First appearing in January 1967 the 1620 class was built by English Electric in Rocklea, Queensland. 34 were produced for use on lightly laid branch lines, equipped with autocouplers and a 6-cylinder 1,012 horsepower 6SCRKT engine the locomotive proved highly effective with the last 4 being retired from service in December 1995.
