AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS LIVERY PACK – BOEING 737-200
The Boeing 737-200, affectionately nicknamed “La Chancha,” flew for 40 years on Aerolíneas Argentinas to domestic and regional destinations.
Aerolíneas had a total of 37 units throughout its useful life, transporting 100 million passengers and 1.3 million tons of cargo, during about 1.5 million flight hours.
Its first Boeing 737-200 debuted at the Ezeiza International Airport, in Buenos Aires, on February 29, 1970. At that time, the aircraft were named after cities.
The first four units were called: “Ciudad de Mar del Plata”, “Ciudad de Bariloche”, “Ciudad de Posadas” and “Ciudad de Buenos Aires”.
Despite this, their “names” had no relationship with the cities to which they arrived, because the first destinations of these aircraft were the cities of Córdoba, Ushuaia, Río Grande,
Santiago and Punta Arenas, in Chile.
Adding all versions, the 737 is the best-selling commercial aircraft, with more than 6 thousand units worldwide.
