BB Brissonneau & Lotz Mod
One of the particularities of the firm Brissonneau and Lotz is to have developed the Diesel-electric transmission.
The 040-DE, the future BB 63000 built by Brissonneau and Lotz has nearly 800 copies, were planned to replace the steam locomotives on the French branch lines.
Nicknamed the “2 cv rail”, the 63000 provided a wide range of services in all regions.

BB 63000 SNCF 1961 – 2011
The 040 DE have been reissued BB 63000 and on the second sub-series, the Sulzer engine goes from 600 hp to 725 hp.

Many of them have been awarded the livery of designer Paul Arzens, attributed to the shunting locomotives. On the third sub-series the engine reaches 750 hp.
