The Eidan Subway Series 7000 was introduced in 1972. Most of the design was inherited from the Series 6000, and the appearance is very similar. The difference is that the Series 7000 was operated in a 5-car formation when it was introduced, whereas the Series 6000 had a 10-car formation. It was in operation until recently, but was retired in 2022 with the arrival of the new Series 17000. The 10-car version will be implemented in the future.
