Extended Gameplay Two
Extended Gameplay Two
EG2 is a modification to Transport Fever 2 which is a sequel to the Extended Gameplay and Immersion mod from Transport Fever
EG2 uses the game’s stock assets (modes, scripts) and mixes them in a variety of ways to provide a new gameplay experience with regard to railroads. Locomotives and wagons get randomized, and vehicles from mods get adjusted to EG2’s game balance. More track types get added. Cargo carrying vehicles get their capacities adjusted to realistic values with respect to cargo density and axle-loading of a rail vehicle.
Some adjustments were done to the vehicle physics which, especially in higher difficulty settings, make for a more involved gameplay.
Synopsis of changes:
– Randomized rail vehicles
– Mod vehicle compatibility
– Realistic train capacities
– Extended difficulty settings
– Extended track types
– Infrastructure biased balance
– Variety of other, minor changes
For extended information about changes made, consult eg2_readme.pdf in the mod’s installation folder.
COMPATIBILITY
EG2 is widely compatible with many mods, however, with some, it might be at adds. The biggest candidates are mods with modified capacities of vehicles, and add/remove cargo types or tracks. One of them is my own “Extended Trackage” mod. Compatibility with some of those mods might be brought into EG2. With most, you get to test it.
ADDING/REMOVING
I strongly suggest starting a new game with EG2. However – adding EG2 is safe. Removing, once you start laying track and using vehicles – between disruptive to impossible. I also strongly suggest loading EG2 as the last mod in your mod list.
