These platforms, built by Tafesa, part of the Transfesa group, came into service in the middle of 1997, to transport automotive parts, mainly from Renault, and later on, also to Citroen, Peugeot, and finally Ford. With the entry of these platforms, the intermodal service was greatly enhanced and thanks to the Hendaye and Cerbere axle changers, it gave international prestige, as the best European platform for container transport.
