Nankai-Railway Electric Car ‘Den-Ichi-Gata’
The first electric train was prepared for electrification between Namba and Hamadera.
At first, they built 11 cars, and finally became 24 cars.
They had couplers, but could not cooperate.
In the 1930s, their bogies and motors were diverted and decreased, but bodies or some whole cars were transferred to the regional railway.
Particularly, No.3 had a special history in that it had been transferred to Kada-Electric-Railway, but be merged with Nankai-Railway and came back again.
After that, it was tranfered to Awaji-Railway again, and remained to 1961.
One railfan said it “Saio-Ga-Ma”, it means event of human life is unpredictable in Chinese old story, and Den-Ichi-Gata was the car enbodied that story.
