Odakyu Romancecar Series7000 LSE
The Odakyu Romance Car LSE (Luxury Super Express) is a limited express train manufactured between 1980 and 1983.
This train was introduced to replace the original Romance Car SE, which had been in production for 20 years.
One of the main features of the car is the observation seats, which were continued from the second generation Romance Car NSE
influenced by the Italian express car ETR300, the large windows with three-dimensional curved surfaces,
and the front of the car, which is 12 degrees steeper than the NSE to give a sense of higher speed.
In 1996,16 years after its introduction, the train underwent a major renovation, including wheelchair-accessible seating,
new doors and seats, and a new paint scheme to match the new-generation Romance Car HiSE.
However, by the time 2010 rolled around, the aging of the trains had progressed further, and the second train was scrapped,
followed by the scrapping of the first train in 2012, leaving only two trains left. Then, in 2018, the new GSE cars were introduced,
and with them, the last two trains were retired, ending regular service.
Currently, the first car of the third form is preserved in the Romance Car Museum, and can still be seen today.,
