Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific Gallery Cars
Down the Rock Island Line, she’s a mighty good road
Rock Island Line, it’s the road to ride
The Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific Railroad, known famously as the “Rock Island Line”, had, like most other major railroads servicing Chicago, their own commuter rail routes within the city. The introduction of these gallery cars actually occurred much later than fellow railroads, having been built in 1970. These cars would last for several decades, being used by RTA, and eventually Metra, when commuter rail services within Chicago were taken over by them. However, today these cars have now been mostly retired, with one, #7869, remaining today as a Metra “bike car”
This pack includes four repaints of Dadang Ngegame’s amazing gallery cars, a Pullman gallery coach and cab car, and a Budd gallery coach and cab. All skins are available in 1970.
