Hbi(l)s/Hbis-vx(y)
In December 1968, SBB placed an order with the Swiss wagon industry and ordered 100 wagons from Ateliers de constructions mécaniques de Vevey ACMV. Delivery of these wagons began in July 1970, with up to 20 wagons leaving the Vevey workshops each month. By 1981, a total of 3351 Hbis of the ACMV type were in service with SBB. In 1972, some variants with insulated sliding walls were provided. Over the years, the cars were also used as advertising vehicles and could be seen in numerous paint schemes. All of the advertising paint schemes existed in real life.
