Soundsets: GE 7FDL (Dash 8, Dash 9, Genesis)
General Electric 7FDL sounds for most applicable locomotives on the Workshop. Many mods already utilize some of these sound files, however, this mod aims to standardize sound sets, improve notching, and reduce redundant files for future GE locomotive mods. Includes 12 and 16-cylinder sounds for:
Dash 7: B30-7A, C36-7
Dash 8: B40-8, B40-8W, C32-8, C39-8, C40-8W
Dash 9: C44-9W
Genesis: P32AC-DM, P40DC, P42DC
All reskins of the above locomotives should be supported, with somewhat accurate horns specific to each railroad. The vanilla C40-8W is also updated, however, repaints of that model are not supported, as well as the legacy P42DC model.
Locomotives will either blast the horn once or twice when departing stations (closeDoors event). The air compressor will turn on occasionally, although when it does is affected by train length (weird game thing).
This mod also patches B40-8 mods that had excessively bright lights and removes the flashing animation from the C36-7.
Load order doesn’t matter.
