ER1 is a DC electric multiple unit that were in production by the Railroad Machinery Plants of Riga (Rīgas Vagonbūves Rūpnīca, RVR) from June 1957 to 1962. The very first trains were intended only for high platforms, which were usual things on Moscow’s suburban railways.
ER10 is an experimental DC electric multiple unit that was in production by the Railroad Machinery Plants of Riga (Rīgas Vagonbūves Rūpnīca, RVR) from 1960 to 1961. There were only 6 trains built, and they all have been working on the Moscow Railway until 1974.
