Tokyo Metro Series10000 EMU
The Tokyo Metro Series 10000 is a commuter train that was introduced in 2006. It is designed for the Yurakucho Line, which shares a section of track with the Line, which opened the following year in 2007, and is equipped with facilities that allow it to enter the Tobu Tojo Line, Seibu Ikebukuro Line, and Tokyu Toyoko Line, which operate direct service with each line. The elegant and unprecedented design was created by Alexander Neumeister, a German industrial designer who also worked on the 500 Series Shinkansen and ICE series.
